First decide which kind of advertising you mean

Three different activities are easy to confuse:

  1. Promoting your game: you pay for a campaign that helps people discover it.
  2. Monetizing gameplay with ads: an eligible game shows a Roblox-supported ad format under that product's rules.
  3. Advertising on this guide site: Build Creator may show independent Adsterra placements; they do not configure anything in your Roblox game.

The RDC mobile announcement concerns the first activity. It is not a statement that every Build creator now receives money from phone ads.

Current campaign route versus announced mobile route

Roblox's Ads Manager documentation describes an existing campaign workflow and requires an account aged 13+ with verified email for access. This is a different requirement from Build creation access starting at age 9.

For the announced phone flow, wait for the actual supported interface and its terms. Do not enter payment information into unofficial pages that claim to unlock it. This guide does not create campaigns, collect payment details or choose a budget for you.

Prepare a campaign brief before spending

Write one sentence each for the intended audience, the real first action and the reason to return. Then prepare a thumbnail or video that shows those things accurately. A clip that promises a large multiplayer world is a poor match for a small solo collection loop, even if it earns clicks.

Record the version being promoted and one outcome you can inspect afterward. Keep acquisition sources separate in the analytics workflow. If the opening controls confuse test players, fix them before buying more visits.

In-game ad earnings require another check

Rewarded video ads have creator, game and player eligibility requirements. A general Build monetization announcement is not proof that a particular game qualifies. The RDC roadmap also names future pre-roll video ads; a coming-soon format is not a current integration instruction.

Do not improvise ad APIs, offer misleading rewards or treat the Select media-feed exception as permission to bypass other advertising rules. Review audience restrictions and the product-specific official documentation.

Measure a useful outcome

A practical small test asks whether players who arrived understood the game and reached its core action. Record the time window and exact game version. Do not interpret spend alone as proof of useful growth.

Use Discovery and Moments for the unpaid presentation work and the monetization planner for the game's value proposition. The RDC record keeps future mobile capability separate from current campaign access.
