A blocked request is a content-boundary result, not a prompting puzzle to defeat. Remove the risky element and preserve only the original mechanic you actually need.
Why a Build prompt can be blocked
Roblox says Build requests must comply with Community Standards and other platform content rules. A request can be refused because it is unsuitable for the audience, asks for restricted or unsafe content, or relies on protected characters, brands or other intellectual property.
The response may not identify every policy detail. Treat the shown message as the starting evidence. Copy its wording before revising so you can tell whether the new concept addressed the relevant boundary.
Age, safety and restricted content
Build is not a separate policy zone. A generated game still has to fit Roblox rules, and Build applies safeguards during creation as well as a safety check before publishing. Remove graphic, sexual, exploitative, dangerous or otherwise restricted themes instead of disguising them.
Make the remaining loop concrete and age-appropriate. For example, change a harmful premise into an obstacle course, collection challenge or abstract puzzle where the player goal and feedback do not depend on restricted material. This is substantive redesign, not filter evasion.
Copyright, brands and characters
Do not request a copy of a known game, fictional character, celebrity, logo, music track or branded world. Invent a neutral setting, original names, new visual motifs and your own goal structure. “Make it exactly like…” is a poor foundation even when the named reference is popular.
Use the better-prompts framework to describe mechanics directly: player goal, repeatable loop, controls, progression and visual tone. A mechanic such as collecting glowing shapes is more actionable and original than asking Build to imitate a protected franchise.
Safe way to rewrite the idea
- Identify the mechanic you want, separate from the theme.
- Remove protected names, characters, logos, audio and locations.
- Remove any restricted action or unsafe reward structure.
- Choose an original, readable setting.
- Request one small playable loop.
- Playtest it before adding another system.
If Build creates a compliant project but gets the mechanics wrong, that is a bad-generation repair, not a blocked-prompt problem.
Prompt block versus publish check
Creation-time refusal prevents or limits a requested generation. A publish safety check evaluates the resulting game before it goes live. The publish failure guide owns that later workflow. Neither stage has a supported workaround; revise the content and test again.
If an original, clearly compliant request remains blocked, save the exact prompt and response, then use Report Issue where available or contact Roblox Support. Do not send a series of disguised versions. The first-game guide offers smaller, safer starting scopes.
Separate mechanics from borrowed expression
A general mechanic—collecting, jumping, matching or upgrading—is different from a protected character, name, image, music track or distinctive fictional world. Describe the mechanic and create your own expression around it. Replace a branded hero with an original role, a recognizable location with a new layout, and copied dialogue with functional on-screen instructions. The result should stand on its own even if the reference is never mentioned.
When reporting an apparent false positive, keep the original compliant request unchanged in your evidence. Roblox, not Build Creator, decides whether a request or generated result satisfies current policy.
