Roblox Build Publishing Is Stuck

If publishing appears stuck, distinguish an unacknowledged action, an explicit in-progress state, a returned error and a reported success whose destination has not been checked. Preserve the current state instead of repeatedly pressing Publish or assuming a failed safety review after an invented timeout.

Symptom

The outcome of a publishing action is unclear or remains in an observed intermediate state.

Immediate action

Capture the last visible transition and retain the candidate without repeated submission.

Diagnostic branches

There is no visible acknowledgement.
Record that boundary without assuming a safety check started.
A content issue is explicitly returned.
Use the stated safety-check remediation workflow.
Success is reported but a destination has not been checked.
Verify the intended destination separately from recommendations or audience reach.

Least-destructive change

Preserve active work and the candidate record; avoid repeated publish operations or speculative content replacement.

Retest

  • The actual result is separated from assumptions about elapsed time.
  • A destination or audience problem is not mislabeled an unacknowledged publish action.
  • No fixed review duration or automatic retry sequence is invented.

Escalation

Provide the observed action sequence and exact notice through official assistance when the outcome cannot be established safely.

Working notes

Write the last observable transition. Selection alone does not prove a request was acknowledged. A progress state without a result is different from a message asking for a content revision. Record the actual state and any error without assigning an unsupported universal completion interval.

Do not add content revisions while trying to identify the outcome of a particular candidate if doing so would confuse which version is being checked. Preserve the candidate and occurrence timing. Avoid closing visibly active work or submitting repeated actions merely to make the screen change.

If the interface reports success, inspect the intended creator or player destination through a legitimate path. A missing Home recommendation is not a failed publication. A correct destination with an audience notice is a separate access question. Keep those observations distinct from the publishing action's reported result.

When the outcome remains unknown, prepare the sequence for official assistance. Do not claim a duplicate publication, lost project or server incident unless the actual evidence establishes it. A later resolved result can update the same record without rewriting the earlier uncertainty.

Examples

  • State record: Publish selected → progress indication visible → no final result observed. This is an unresolved outcome, not an established safety rejection.
  • Different case: success is reported and the correct destination exists, but it is absent from recommendations. Use discovery guidance rather than submitting the same publication again.
