The two account requirements
Build currently requires both:
- an account holder age of 9 or older; and
- a completed age check.
An entered birthday and a completed age check are not the same condition. Roblox’s age-check system can use supported methods such as facial age estimation or, for eligible older users, ID verification.
Check the account safely
- Open the intended Roblox account, not another family account.
- Review the age information in account settings.
- Follow Roblox’s current age-check flow.
- Do not send identity documents to Build Creator or any unofficial guide site.
- Close and reopen the Roblox app after the process finishes.
Build Creator cannot perform, override or manually correct a Roblox age check.
If Build is still missing
Age eligibility is one part of access. Current Build requirements also include an Android mobile device and a supported region. Continue with the Build not showing checklist rather than repeating the age check without a reason.
Roblox does not promise an exact universal unlock time after the check. Account settings and regional rules can also affect feature access.
Age checks and published games
The creation requirement starts at age 9, but newly published Build games initially target age-checked players age 16 or older, with regional exceptions. Those are different rules: one covers who can use Build; the other covers the initial audience for published Build games.

Common problems
- Wrong account checked: verify the account currently signed in to the Roblox app.
- Age 9+ but no completed check: finish the Roblox age-check process.
- Check complete but tab absent: verify Android and region requirements.
- Incorrect age result: follow Roblox’s age-check documentation; unofficial sites cannot change it.
