Roblox Build Age Requirements
Build requires users to be age 9 or older.
Objective
Distinguish creator age verification from published-game audience requirements.
Before you start
- Identify whether the question concerns creation or playing a published result.
- Use the intended account's official age-check state.
- Keep audience planning separate from access to the editor.
Steps
- Read the creator minimum and completed-check requirement together.
- Record whether the official account check is complete rather than merely whether a birthday is entered.
- Check the remaining access conditions when the creation entry is still absent.
- For testers or publication, review the separate audience rules.
- Use official recovery instructions for an incorrect or unfinished verification result.
- Avoid assuming that completing a checklist grants account or audience approval.
Verification
- Creator eligibility and game audience have separate recorded conclusions.
- A completed age check is not inferred from an entered birthday.
- A creator's access is not used as proof of every tester's access.
- No unofficial identity collection or bypass is proposed.
Limitations
- This page cannot verify an account's age or correct its status.
- Meeting the creator minimum does not satisfy every regional or device condition.
- It does not predict a game's evaluation or moderation outcome.
Working notes
The minimum creator age is not the whole access decision. A completed age check is a separate requirement, and region and device conditions still matter. Entering a birthday is not the same as completing the official age-check process; keep those observations separate.
Ask whether you are trying to create or trying to play a published result. The initial audience for a new game is a different rule from the creator's minimum age. A person may meet the creation threshold without that fact proving that all their peers can play every resulting game.
When planning a test or release, write down the intended audience and inspect the relevant publication requirements separately. Do not turn a creator's completed check into a prediction of younger-audience approval. Content review and the actual audience controls answer questions that the creation-entry screen does not.
Keep age verification inside the official account flow. This site cannot perform or correct it, and a checklist should not ask you to upload identity material to an unofficial service. If the result is incorrect or unfinished, use the documented recovery path rather than changing information to bypass the requirement.
Examples
- Question split: 'May this account enter the creation workflow?' uses creator requirements. 'May the intended tester open the published game?' uses audience and access requirements. Record both answers independently instead of carrying the creator result across.
- Account observation: the birthday field is filled, but the official age-check process is incomplete. Record those separate states; a populated field does not demonstrate completed verification.
- Release planning example: the creator can make a draft and wants younger friends to play it. The next task is reviewing the game's actual audience path, not assuming the creator's permitted age automatically sets the game's audience.
